Virtually a Tour

It has been a week since the last entry and much has happened. The house has been as decluttered as I can get it and still live here. Even though I did a pretty decent job cleaning, I had a crew come in and do a “deep cleaning”. Hey, I really thought the edges of the room ceiling fans were gray. Nope, just deep dust.

The 3 ladies did a marvelous job in job in only 4 hours.

Oh, before they came, I had my favorite lawn guy (really a painter by trade) and his crew do a few patchings and paintings to make things look much better. I had done some of that on my own, and proved I am (was) a professional IT PERSON and should never touch a paint brush!!!

I also removed much of the light blocking drapery from the various rooms, put up clean/new drapes and curtains, with tie-backs, to allow more sunlight in. And replaced old area rug runners with fresh new ones.

Basically, I spruced up the dump.

Even the cleaners thought it looked great — until they got into the hidden corners that I didn’t reach.

So, I signed with a realtor on Tuesday, https://www.realtor.com/realestateagents/jeff-tricoli_west-palm-beach_fl_402900_665584327 https://www.tricoliteam.com/ and expect he’ll add it to the websites soon. The photographer / videographer was here today (Thursday). I’m guessing he’ll edit his work today and the realtor will have it tomorrow. I’ll add links in here to the Zillow https://www.zillow.com/…/7550-Gilmour-Ct-Lak…/46572722_zpid/ .

For now, here is a quick walk thru of the house I did prior to the photog getting here.

My next steps are happening quickly. I need to contact a buyer agent up in Ohio to do leg work. I have a list of a few houses I’d like to see, and want them to set up viewings, for those, and any others that match my wants/needs. Then I fly up into the snowy north, and try and see as many as I can.

Meanwhile, down here, they will have stranger traipsing through my house complaining about holes in the walls..

BTW, I have received all of the little cards for my COBRA and Medicare plans. It will be nice to remove half of the plastic/cardboard cards from my wallet in a couple of months. I also have enough paperwork, that I’ll never read, to fill a banana box. — Which reminds me, I had a few bananas from my plants early this week. Yummy. Won’t be any more though. The next set will be formed long after I am gone from here.

The mango and avocado trees are blossoming. As are some of the citrus. More goodies for the next owners..

For now, that’s about all folks. I’ll update when the broker gets things really listed.

Enjoy Life…
