Happy First Work Day of 2020
Happy New Year to all.
I actually didn’t stop working, around the house, yesterday. But, this is likely many of your’s first day back at your Office for the year.
Right now, my Lawn Guy’s (Painter, Handyman) team are doing little things around the place to make it look just a tad better. They do a more professional job that I could. Yes, I did some more patching, and a couple of touch-ups with paint yesterday, shoot, even painted the inside of the garage door. — And it looks like I did this stuff. Looks better than before I started, but surely needs to be done right by the new owners.
The team is pulling/chopping out those 3-4 citrus trees in the corner that I neglected over the years. If I stayed, I might have gotten them back. While they looked better than 6 months ago, still look bad. So, I had 4 in planters inside the patio deck that they will plant in the beds.
I had removed one of the bad ones yesterday, but decided, I was already too sore before starting that one, and if I did more, I might just become permanently hurting. So, leave it to the professionals (aka “young guys”).
The fellow that is inside is removing broken old caulk around the island in kitchen, putting in new (finally filling in the crack that has been there for years!!), and will paint the baseboard around it. He is doing the same around the threshold of the front door. And, since he is there, will give the front door a coat of paint, so prospective owners will see a nice clean door when they come/go (The outside of the house was painted just over a year ago, by this same team, and it looks great).
While they are busy doing those things, I’ve been cleaning out my kitchen cabinets a bit more. Getting rid of all my old “health care” vitamins/herbals/cold-flu/digestion stuff, and putting the rest into a small closed bin. This is part of the, don’t let the prospective buyers think anyone lives here, mentality. We don’t want them to think we ever lived, we ever eat, we ever got sick, or worse, we ever defecated, in the house of their dreams..
So, life is going on. Sure wish I was getting to the “moved” stage.
