03-10-2025 -- More 3D printer cleanup progress
Howdy all. Sunny and low 50s outside. Winds not too bad. Even saw someone flying a kite in park across the street. Quite possibly, there will be more nice days in the next week. Looks like I may be able to get outside and till the raised beds yet.
But today, I was back in the 3D printer room trying to “organize” and clean up and update/accessorize the printers. The 2nd printer now has the top riser/slider for the glass, and has LED light strips to make seeing inside easier. Oh, the light strips on both printer are set up so that I can ask Alexa to turn them on/off. Need that since I have a tendency to forget to turn things off.
Also replaced the internal filters on both machines with a better carbon/Hepa filter pair. While I don’t smell the fumes when they are printing now, better filtration is always better.
And, I added more “hanging on” bins/and tool clips to the sides of the printers to make it easier to find what I need, when I need it. Even more important, was the time I spent putting stuff away, and into drawers.
Second printer set up with bins for storage on side and riser on top. That is the remote control for the LED lights sitting beside the printer. The bins are overfull with stuff that I need to either attach to grid on printer, or hide away in a drawer. There are “good” tools also in the bins.
Desk is not buried in stuff for printers. I even used the SD and compact flash card bins to hold the various cards that were all over the desk.
And this printer is also less messy. You can see some tools hanging from the right side.
So much more to do in that room. But that’s it for today. I need to Enjoy Life.
