03-09-2025 -- Winter breaking as we Spring forward

Howdy all. Last night was “spring forward” to Daylight Saving Time. Strange, the amount of daylight isn’t changing. It is just shifted to make more evening. And allow kids to go to school in the dark for longer. Oh well. I need to change clock in truck and on the stove. Why don’t they make the stove’s clock keep updated? Every electric outage wipes it out, or, if a short blip, causes it to lose a minute. Annoying at best.

However, the weather is finally not “below average” today. Sunny when I got downstairs at 8, and above freezing outside. Headed to low-mid 40s. That is the so-called average for this time of year.

Yesterday morning.

This morning.

While everything is still brown, and the ground is frozen, the snow is missing. Yippee.

Yesterday I ordered seed trays/pots and vegetable seeds for this year’s gardening season. Standard stuff. Peppers/tomatoes/carrots/beans/cucumbers. Seed potatoes and onions have started arriving for their early plantings. Others are still in shipped status. Will be here soon.

There may be a couple days this coming week that will allow me to actually get outside to see what I need to do to prepare the raised beds.

Meanwhile, indoors, I’ve started even more mushrooms in the bins. Love them. Especially in my morning omelettes. But, with liquid eggs seemingly impossible to find at the grocery stores, right now, I may need to learn to eat something else for breakfast. Ugh.

I’m still printing off organization type stuff on the 3D printers. Now that I’ve printed off and installed the slim riser/sliders for the top glass (with LED strips to light the interiors), I’m adding new trays and hooks to the side of the printers, that attach to the risers. Need to keep easily accessible tools there.

Here are some of the bins/trays and connectors. Some installed on one printer. The other printer will be done soon. I HOPE!

I still need to work in the laser room too. I have “started” mentally, the laser/engraver version of the Weaver’s Lawn Service sign, but haven’t so much as turned on the laptop in that room so as to get it back to updated with Windows releases. Let alone the Xtool software. But, in my mind, it is already done…

Right now, looking forward to the sunshine, and hope to Enjoy Life
