Less than 3 weeks until Florida is closed

Howdy all.

Wow, 20 days until 3/3 closing. Getting closer. I set up my USPS change of address to take affect on 3/10. I guess I will be counting on the kindness of the new owners to forward my snail mail for a week or two. I’m leaving a few pre-paid postage bubble envelopes for them to used. I pre-addressed them with the Ohio address on them.

I’ve gone around the outside of the house and packed up all of my home adornments (Butterflies) and the whirlygigs I had outside here and there. Along with a few other things I want to keep. Like the step-stone with the friendship message I was given a couple years ago. The other stepping stones can stay, but that comes with me.

I do need to take down the various Blink/Arlo cameras, but I’ll wait for the last week to do that and the cable box removing.

Also binned up more stuff in the garage for the move. And red-tagged some items which will stay for the new owners.

Oh, Which reminds me, I need to figure out how to segregate the various stuff, not going into movers’ packing, that I will need for the days between the packing day, and the 2 closings. Hmm, maybe move all of those bins / inflatable furniture, into the 2nd bath and shut the door… I’ll have to figure that out in next 2 weeks.

Right now is a slight lull period in the moving frenzy. I’ve actually spent a few hours out by (or in) the pool this week. Was very nice. I’m going to miss it.

Also had a friend from the Office come by to say hello/good-bye this week. That was the best day I’ve had in months!!!

The new owners are coming by, the end of next week, with a decorator (relative) to measure up things and decide how they are re-doing the place. I kind of wish I could be doing the same up north. My realtor got a couple of measurements for the appliances in the kitchen for me, but not good enough to help with selection. Just saying the existing fridge spot is 36 inches wide, by 69 inches tall, doesn’t quite do it. Need counter depth, and were those measurements the gap (front/back — top/bottom) or the fridge (with/without doors opening, etc.). I will have to get those when I get up there and then go purchase items. I will be adding new Fridge, gas-range, microwave hood (does it need exhaust), dish-washer, and maybe washer/dryer and maybe even Water Heater (needs addition of drip pan). Oh well, it will give me something to do while waiting for closing!!!

Anyway, time is running out, and so was my energy. Good thing I’m getting this break.
