03-05-2025 -- A Weaver's print - done?

Howdy all. Today is windy. And may get worse this afternoon during thunderstorms. Great. But, right now it is just wet out there.

Wet and gloomy. Snow is almost gone. Can’t you see it?

Yep, that is all that is left that I can see.

About 3300 without electricity in the Cleveland area. (Just 50 minutes west). Who knows what tree will fall today with the wet ground and 45 mph gusts? Hopefully not in our area this time.

Anyway, yesterday afternoon I started a larger version of that Weaver’s Lawn Service sign. Just under 9 inches (230 mm) wide. That’s about maximum on my 3D printers. Started great.

But late last night around 11 pm..

Out of bed to fix this.

Back to processing

Done printing

Looking good.

I am playing around trying to print just the grass right now. Maybe to attach to a laser cut wood version of the sign.

The grass alone, sitting on my desk. Can’t really tell size, can ya’?

Here the grass is sitting on the almost 6 inch sign’s back (grass is 5 ½ inches). The sign above is just over 9 inches wide.

So, I am hoping to use a white board (acrylic board) background that is between 16.5 and 19.5 inches wide, and then cut out the letters and boarder out of a blue board nearly same size. Will have to see if I can pull the blue out of this file and put it into something the Xtool engraver/cutter and handle.

Gives me something to do while it is still winter.
