02-24-2025 -- Taxes and Organization

Howdy all. First the weather. OMG it is almost nice out. Well, if the winds weren’t gusting to 45-50 mph. Sunshine off and on and the temperature is in mid to upper 40s. Nicest day of the year. Snow is melting.

I made the 45-hour trip to the tax preparation CPA firm to sign off on the e-file and pay them. Their printer is still down so I will get the hard copies of the paperwork sometime in the mail. That’s okay. Taxes are done for the year. The cost of using a CPA firm, instead of an individual, was not as bad as it could be. $120 last year, and $195 this year. Still better than paying $85 for the software and another $15 to file state taxes online, when I consider the time it would take for me to do it right. Not to mention my ability to procrastinate!

I did some organization of the desk area. Added a couple paper trays and small 3D printed catch all trays.

I have some more organization boxes and trays either coming from Amazon, or printing myself. And, I did a little in the 3D printer room. I tossed or refreshed a bunch of desiccant (dehumidifiers) and gathered up at least 6 green filaments to use for making a logo print for someone. Has grass on the logo. So I will use the 6 greens and white for a background and dark blue for the words and a border. I already spent the time converting the png file to a jpeg to a svg to a stl and 3mf file. Each step takes different software and cleanup.

Will be awhile before I actually do the printing of this. I want to do the mechanical upgrades to the printer this will be done on, and add a few items to make it a better printer.

But for now, I need to Enjoy Life
