12-24-2024 -- Twas the day before Xmas

Howdy all, And all through the house, the only creature stirring, was Kitty stuffing food in her mouth. And me too!!.

The weather can’t decide if it should rain or snow more. I’m guessing a dirty-white holiday tomorrow. Visited with my brother Bill and wife, Barbara, yesterday for a couple hours. Very nice visit. They may stop over here tomorrow. If he does, I’ll put him to work helping me put a couple of printer filament shelves on the wall in the craft room. I have been slowly organizing that room since I got the printers, and getting the various filaments up, out of the way, but yet visible, will help. I have “dry” boxes for the PETg filament that are on wheels and under the Bambu Carbon printer’s table. The shelves will be for the P1S printer's PLA filaments — basic, silky, etc.

After today’s drop off of various gifts and projects, I no longer have boxes of things all over the floor downstairs. Well, a couple that need to be taken upstairs and put away for the year (wrapping bags and paper and such). And with the nut rolls and food items also gone, my freezer/fridge finally has room for what I consume the most of — Mountain Dew by the bottles and cans..

I was noticing the indoor tomato plants, barely 5-6 inches tall, have blossom buds. And I need to trim (harvest) some parsley and basil. They are growing quickly.

My next project, is ME. Dentist appointment on the 27th (Friday) to have and extraction and hopefully, an implant. More likely, it will be and extraction, and a bone graft. That’s when they take a dead guy’s toe bone, grind it up, and stuff it in your jaw bone so it might fill back in over 4-6 months. It is just about as much fun as it sounds..

Hey, what can I expect? The extraction is of a GOLD crowned molar that was initially done around 1974 (fifty years ago). I’ll keep the gold. It is worth $40-$90 dollars for the 3 grams or so of about 10-18 karat gold. Of course the extraction/implant will cost 30 times that even with insurance.

So that’s how I’ll Enjoy Life into the new year — wishing I took better care of myself as a younger person. My advice. Do take care of yourself. You too could accidentally live this long. But most of all.

Enjoy Life
