Happy New Year -- 2021

HNY to everyone.

I’m sure glad 2020 is in the past. I am looking forward to the 2nd - 3rd quarter of 2021 as being the beginning of a new era. By then, I, and many others, should have received a set of one of the available COVID-19 vaccines, and be closer to whatever the new normal brings us.

Last year was quite the year for turmoil. With retirement, moving, new house issues, new state issues, and a host of other changes, I am glad to say I’ve survived. I am certainly happy that is in the rear view mirror. Now if we can clean the windshield a bit, it will be time to do a little trucking.

Over the last few days I’ve been doing my cleaning around the house. I put away all of the holiday decorations, and have been tossing out more items I don’t seem to need. Reducing the clutter some. And today I’ll be trying a few of the ritualistic good-luck eatings. I have my pork, and sauerkraut, and even kielbasa (for those that prefer that charm), and I made a pot of soup with black-eyed peas and ham — and reached above my personal hatred of cornmeal, to have some freshly baked cornmeal bread, with the soup. Shoot, I’m even considering tossing in a dime to see if I’m the one that finds it — um, seeing as I am the only person here, if I don’t find it, I will have swallowed it. That can’t be good luck, can it?

I hope you all have the best 2021 you can imagine, and,

Enjoy Life
