Day -207 -- Memorial Day

First, it is Memorial Day. Remember those who served, and those who sacrificed. And my thank-you to all of them.

So today is a day off from work. Well, a day monitoring things from home. I am still doing on-call duties, and this was my weekend. My cohort made it a long weekend to go camping with his family.

It has been a quiet weekend. No real issues at the Office. And today is 1/2 over. Tomorrow it is back to documenting and creating training for the Pune people that we haven’t even interviewed yet. The first 4 said they wanted no part of the job. Gee..

I managed to get some things done around the house - -pressured cleaned the screen enclosure cage on Sunday. That is hard on the old shoulders. The cage rises to at least ten foot off the deck, and those middle beams seem to collect the most algae. Holding the magic pressure cleaner wand up over my head for a couple hours makes for a long day.

But, it looks fantastic right now. — and so does the deck area.

Today was a much more relaxed day. I did go out for a trike ride — to pay the Lawn Guys, and just to move about and be outside in the Florida sunshine. Oh, here is a picture of my tricycle.

Maybe rode/peddled about 6 or 8 miles total. As I lose weight, it gets faster. I can hit 19.5 mph on the right street with the wind behind me. But at about 10-12 mph, the breeze feels great.

And, as I should have expected, I just paid for my happiness that nothing was going wrong at the Office. A file pick-up and processing just failed. And, it failed in a “new” way. Took an hour, but figured it out and it is now processing. Hmm, I wonder how long something “new” will take Pune next year???

Not much more to say today. Except.

Enjoy Life.
