Day -18 -- I've applied myself.

Happy Cyber Monday. This morning I did the old person thing. I applied for Social Security to start 01/01/2020 and for Medicare Part B effective 03/01/2020. The Medicare Part A will happen because of the Social Security account existing, and when I get my card, I will work with the broker to do the Supplemental Gap Part G.

I’m down to just 18 calendar days and only 14 more work days here at the Office. Wow!! I guess getting to retirement is getting closer.

Over the long holiday weekend I packed up my Xmas photo and cards, and this morning spent 20 minutes outside the office building putting them into the big blue USPS mailbox. They should make it from the southeast coast up and across, to the rest of the country over next 4 or 5 days.

This year’s photo was not completely up to my standards, but I couldn’t get the lighting the way I really wanted it, from inside my dining room. The framed version of the photo, tha I have here in the office looks pretty close to what i envisioned, but the small prints, not so much.

Of course, like normal, there are other goodies in the packets, which will help people ignore the photo.
